The Five “S” that you must Focus on in your Life

1. SAVIOR

Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

It means we are spiritually dead and ruled by sin rather than by God. Jesus said that whoever practices sin is the slave of sin (John 8:34). When we are enslaved to sin, we are condemned to eternal damnation as punishment for our sins, because the wrath of God is what we deserve (Hebrews 9:27; Ephesians 2:3). Our sin puts us in direct opposition to God: "For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who live in the flesh cannot please God" (Romans 8:7-8). We are enslaved to sin and condemned to eternal damnation by God; we need someone to rescue us—a Savior. You should have a genuine and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. He is your Creator, Lord and Savior. Your eternity matters. 2. SCRIPTURE 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness. God must be your top priority! He and knowing Him is above all. Reading the Bible is a spiritual discipline, which means that we should be disciplined in the way we approach it. If you lack the desire to read the Bible, pray and ask that God would give you a desire for His word. You must take time to read, study and learn from God’s Word regularly as it is your manual for life and holiness. We must prioritize Bible study so that we have what we need to stand firm when doubts come knocking, when trials threaten to overwhelm us, when Satan tempts us, and when the world attempts to manipulate us. True love for God, love for the family and love for others is learned.

3. SCHOOL

Proverbs 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. You must prioritize your education, because this is foundational. First, education empowers people and transforms lives. Second, education fosters economic growth. Third, education is the foundation for a more peaceful and sustainable future. Have a passion to learn and get a better life. Education gives people hope, confidence and dignity. It equips them with knowledge and skills to escape poverty.

4. SKILL

Exodus 35:10 Have every skillful person among you come and make all that the Lord has commanded: You must enhance your skills and talents. Learning new skills makes an important contribution to your professional life. It helps you attain your goals, gives you confidence, and gives you motivation to work as well. Apply your existing skills and make yourself professional in your work environment. Not only learning new skills are required, but also practicing your existing skill is.

5. SPORTS

Hebrews 12:11-13 For the moment, all discipline seems not to be pleasant, but painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is impaired may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Being active regularly, offers a range of health benefits: Increases flexibility and movement and improves joint mobility. Improves co-ordination, movement and balance – helps to reduce the risk of falls and injury. Physical activity or exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life. Master these simple yet meaningful and helpful principles in your life and live a life that glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ.
